Sebbene i governi e le istituzioni dell’Unione Europea confinino ripetutamente la crisi al caso “eccezionale” della Grecia, lo stato di emergenza sembra essere lo spettro che si aggira per l’Europa. Pare che in una delle aree più ricche del globo, nessuno riesca a vivere con i propri mezzi e l’austerità sia la sola via per salvare ciò che è stato costruito per decenni; un salvataggio per annegamento, costruire attraverso la demolizione è il dogma dell’ortodossia politica ed economica.
Sebbene diverse forze politiche avessero previsto in molti casi i tragici risultati di questa specifica forma di sviluppo che il regime di accumulazione postfordista e la finanziarizzazione dell’economia avrebbero scatenato per l’intera società, sembra che il sentire generale, perfino tra i più radicali, sia dominato da un certo torpore. Sembra che la conferma della predizione si ripeta sempre e solo come tragedia.
La Grecia, comunque, pare essere il luogo per eccellenza, dove questo tornado devasta salari, pensioni, garanzie sociali, in breve tutte le strutture del welfare e i diritti politici che erano sopravvissuti dal compromesso del dopoguerra. L’esperimento greco per la messa a punto del futuro europeo prende forma in modo chiaro e inequivocabile.
Tuttavia, a parte l’imposizione orchestrata dal governo greco, il saccheggio da parte di Unione Europea e Fondo Monetario Internazionale di qualsiasi segno di dignità, materiale e simbolico, reale e illusorio, sembra che a essersi intensificati in questa guerra dichiarata siano innanzitutto le risposte degli oppositori. La continua escalation delle lotte sociali contro la mostruosità delle ricorrenti misure di austerità partoriscono sempre più numerosi e indignati mostri del rifiuto.
Sembra che la resistenza non sia sufficiente, né la fuga. Ciò che è stato dimostrato ripetutamente negli ultimi due anni è che la questione (im)posta da innumerevoli soggettività non è la resistenza contro gli attacchi, né la costruzione di alternative di evasione: è semplicemente e puramente il rifiuto non formulato e senza parole, perciò inafferrabile, imprevedibile e temibile.
Come parte anonima, senza forma e senza possibilità di essere messa in forma di questo movimento non rappresentabile, invitiamo tutti coloro che sono parte di questo disperso, disorientato e confuso pensiero e azione di strada a venire e formare una due giorni di assemblea aperta ad Atene, dove i mostri della crisi dal sud Europa globale (da Londra a Madrid e da Berlino a Roma), così come le sollevazioni e insurrezioni in Nord Africa, possono condividere esperienze e idee per contaminare ulteriormente i diseredati europei con una rabbia senza speranza e una paura speranzosa.
Dopo la manifestazione del 5 maggio 2010 ad Atene, l’Economist ha pubblicato in prima pagina un’immagine di Atene con il titolo “Arriva in una città vicina a voi?”. Oggi possiamo sostituire il punto interrogativo con un punto esclamativo. Le reti che collegano Syntagma con Tahrir, Barcellona, Londra o New York sono più forti che mai, come una catena di eventi, occupazioni, manifestazioni, iniziative per un rifiuto collettivo e senza mediazioni che diviene transnazionale.
Invitiamo individualmente e collettivamente a partecipare all’assemblea per pensare in comune come possiamo disperdere questo rifiuto assoluto e trovare strade per agire insieme contro il dogma economico e politico della crisi attraverso gli esistenti confini nazionali, economici e politici. Il nostro obiettivo è di aprirsi alle varie forme di rifiuto attivo e assoluto che emergono nelle nostre interconnesse vite quotidiane, e di creare tempi e spazi comuni di lotte, pratiche e azioni.

Transnational open assembly – Coming to a city near you!
Even though EU governments and institutions repeatedly confine crisis to the ‘exceptional’ case of Greece, the state of emergency seems to be the spectre that is haunting Europe. It seems that in one of the richest areas of the globe, no one is living within their means and austerity is the only way to rescue whatever has been built for decades; rescuing by drowning, building by demolishing seems to be the dogma of political and economic orthodoxy.
Even though several political forces had in many instances predicted the tragic outcomes of this specific form of development that the post-fordist regime of accumulation and the unleashed financialisation of the economy would engender for societies at large, it seems that the general feeling, even among the most radical, is dominated by an uncomfortable numb. It seems that verification of prediction repeats itself always and only as tragedy.
Greece, however, seems to be the lieu par excellence, where this tornado, ravages wages, pensions, social benefits, in brief all welfare structures, and political rights that had survived from the post-war consensus. The Greek experiment for the fine-tuning of the European future takes place in a clear and unequivocal way.
However, apart from the imposition orchestrated by the Greek government, the EU and the IMF looting of any material and symbolic, real and illusionary sign of dignity, it seems that what is intensified in this declared war are the responses of the opponent. The ongoing escalation of social struggles against the monstrosity of recurrent austerity measures gives birth to more and more numerous and more outraged monsters of refusal.
It seems that resistance is not enough; neither escape. What has been proven in recurrent instances during the past two years is that the question (im)posed by innumerable subjectivities is not that of resistance against the attacks, neither the construction of evading alternatives; it is simply and purely the unformulated, speechless, hence ungraspable, unpredictable and fearful refusal.
As anonymous, unformed and unformable part of this non-representable movement, we invite everyone who is part of this scattered, bewildered and confused street thought and action to come and form a two-day Open assembly in Athens, where the monsters of crisis the global European South (from London to Madrid and from Berlin to Rome, as well as the upheavals and insurrections in North Africa) will exchange experience and ideas in order to further contaminate the European underdogs with hopeless rage and hopeful fear.
Following the 5th of May 2010 demonstration in Athens, the Economist published in its front-page an image from Athens with the title ‘Coming to a city near you?’. Today we replace the question mark with an exclamation mark. The networks that link Syntagma with Tahrir, Barcelona, London or New York are stronger than ever; like a chain of events occupations, demonstrations, initiatives for collective and un-mediated refusal become transnational.
We invite everyone individually and collectively to come to the assembly in order to think in common how we can disperse this absolute refusal and find ways to work together against the economic and political dogma of the crisis across established national, economic and political borders. Our aim is to open up to the various forms of active and absolute refusal that emerge in our every day interconnected lives, and to create common time and spaces of struggles, practices and actions.

Παρότι κυβερνήσεις και θεσμοί της ΕΕ με επαναλαμβανόμενο τρόπο περιορίζουν την κρίση στην «μεμονωμένη» περίπτωση της Ελλάδας, το καθεστώς έκτακτης ανάγκης μοιάζει να είναι το φάντασμα που πλανιέται πάνω από την Ευρώπη. Φαίνεται ότι σε μια από τις πλουσιότερες περιοχές του πλανήτη κανείς/μια δεν ζει μέσα στα όρια των δυνατοτήτων του/της και η λιτότητα είναι ο μοναδικός τρόπος να διασωθεί ότι έχει οικοδομηθεί σε δεκαετίες· διάσωση μέσω πνιγμού, χτίσιμο μέσω κατεδάφισης μοιάζει να είναι το δόγμα της πολιτικής και οικονομικής ορθοδοξίας.
Παρότι αρκετές πολιτικές δυνάμεις είχαν σε πολλές περιστάσεις προβλέψει τις τραγικές συνέπειες αυτής της συγκεκριμένης μορφής ανάπτυξης που το μετα-φορντιστικό καθεστώς συσσώρευσης και η αχαλίνωτη χρηματιστικοποίηση της οικονομίας θα προκαλούσε για το σύνολο των κοινωνιών, φαίνεται ότι το γενικό αίσθημα, ακόμα και μεταξύ των πιο ριζοσπαστικών κομματιών της κοινωνίας, κυριαρχείται από ένα αμήχανο μούδιασμα. Φαίνεται ότι η επαλήθευση των προβλέψεων επαναλαμβάνεται πάντα και μόνο ως τραγωδία.
Παρόλα αυτά, η Ελλάδα μοιάζει να είναι ο παραδειγματικός χώρος, όπου αυτή η θύελλα σαρώνει μισθούς, συντάξεις, κοινωνικά επιδόματα, εν συντομία όλες τις δομές κοινωνικού κράτους, καθώς και τα πολιτικά δικαιώματα που επιβίωσαν από τη μεταπολεμική συναίνεση. Το ελληνικό πείραμα για τις τελικές δοκιμές του ευρωπαϊκού μέλλοντος συντελείται με καθαρό και χωρίς περιστροφές τρόπο.
Ωστόσο, εκτός από την ενορχηστρωμένη από την ελληνική κυβέρνηση, την ΕΕ και το ΔΝΤ επιβολή που λεηλατεί κάθε υλικό και συμβολικό, πραγματικό και ψευδεπίγραφο δείγμα αξιοπρέπειας, φαίνεται ότι αυτό που εντείνεται σε αυτόν τον κηρυγμένο πόλεμο είναι και οι απαντήσεις του αντιπάλου. Η συνεχής κλιμάκωση των κοινωνικών αγώνων ενάντια στην τερατουργία των επαναλαμβανόμενων μέτρων λιτότητας γεννά όλο και πιο πολυάριθμα και όλο και πιο εξοργισμένα τέρατα άρνησης.
Φαίνεται ότι η αντίσταση δεν είναι αρκετή· ούτε η διαφυγή. Αυτό που έχει αποδειχθεί κατ’ επανάληψη τα τελευταία δυο χρόνια είναι ότι το ζήτημα που τίθεται/επιβάλλεται από αναρίθμητες υποκειμενικότητες δεν είναι η αντίσταση ενάντια στις επιθέσεις, ούτε η οικοδόμηση εναλλακτικών διαφυγής· είναι απλά και καθαρά η μη διατυπωμένη, άναρθρη, συνεπώς ασύλληπτη, απρόβλεπτη και τρομαχτική άρνηση.
Ως ανώνυμο, αδιαμόρφωτο και μη διαμορφώσιμο κομμάτι αυτού του μη αντιπροσωπεύσιμου κινήματος, προσκαλούμε όποιον και όποιαν είναι μέρος αυτής της σκόρπιας, σαστισμένης και μπερδεμένης σκέψης και δράσης του δρόμου να έρθουν και να διαμορφώσουν μια διήμερη Ανοιχτή συνέλευση στην Αθήνα, όπου τα τέρατα της κρίσης από τον παγκόσμιο ευρωπαϊκό νότο (από το Λονδίνο ως τη Μαδρίτη και από το Βερολίνο ως τη Ρώμη), καθώς και από τους ξεσηκωμούς και τις εξεγέρσεις στη Βόρεια Αφρική θα ανταλλάξουν εμπειρίες και ιδέες με στόχο να μολύνουν περισσότερο τα ευρωπαϊκά αουτσάιντερ (underdogs) με απελπισμένη οργή και ελπιδοφόρο φόβο.
Αμέσως μετά τη διαδήλωση της 5ης Μαΐου 2010 στην Αθήνα, ο Economist είχε στο εξώφυλλό του μια εικόνα από την Αθήνα με τον τίτλο «Προσεχώς σε μια πόλη δίπλα σας;» (‘Coming to a city near you?’). Σήμερα αντικαθιστούμε το ερωτηματικό με θαυμαστικό. Τα δίκτυα που συνδέουν το Σύνταγμα με την Ταχρίρ, τη Βαρκελώνη, το Λονδίνο ή τη Νέα Υόρκη είναι πιο δυνατά από ποτέ· σαν μια αλυσίδα από γεγονότα, καταλήψεις, διαδηλώσεις, οι πρωτοβουλίες για συλλογική και αδιαμεσολάβητη άρνηση διεθνοποιούνται.
Καλούμε όλες και όλους, ατομικά και συλλογικά, να έρθουν στη συνέλευση προκειμένου να σκεφτούμε από κοινού πώς μπορούμε να διασπείρουμε αυτή την απόλυτη άρνηση και να βρούμε τρόπους να δουλέψουμε μαζί ενάντια στο οικονομικό και πολιτικό δόγμα της κρίσης, ανεξάρτητα από εθνικά, οικονομικά και πολιτικά σύνορα. Ο στόχος μας είναι να ανοιχτούμε στις ποικίλες μορφές ενεργούς και απόλυτης άρνησης που αναδύονται στις καθημερινές αλληλοσυνδεόμενες ζωές μας και να δημιουργήσουμε κοινούς χώρους και χρόνους αγώνων, πρακτικών και δράσεων.
